Speaker 1:

Is he Toriyama's favorite character? Not favorite he hates Vegeta, he hates Vegeta, he's got all the burger plays and he'd like a fucking shitty burger to remind me how good the burgers tasted.

Speaker 2:

No, I'll just wait. That's a really good analogy. Yeah, I mean, I also learned that he doesn't order bent.

Speaker 1:

Dude, that's what I mean. Like, why do you have the perfect? You have the scene, you have like you've filmed the exact scene Roaling oh shit, sunder. It's only right. Fuck dude, shit, dude.

Speaker 2:

It's a high-Q volleyball move.

Speaker 1:

Dude, he's so smooth.

Speaker 2:

Liberal Nishinoya.

Speaker 1:

Like butter. They own a thing. See your shirt, that's it. That's it. It's fresh guys, we're back.

Speaker 2:

Welcome back everyone Welcome.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to a podcast. Swsg, baby SWSG, If you don't know what it means read the title yeah read the fucking title, mate.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, learn to read.

Speaker 1:

Look, we can't do everything for you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Can't wipe your ass.

Speaker 2:

Yeah no, we can't pay you bills, can't pay you bills. But oh, to all my blind listeners, it's Senpai with some guy. It's Senpai with some guy. We can't put Braille on the screen, you know, so shout out to you guys, that's compassion, that's compassion.

Speaker 1:

Is that what you call it, compassion? Yeah, it's not passion, compassion.

Speaker 2:

It's compassion, but they have a passion for us if they're listening to us, while blind Is.

Speaker 1:

Compassion mean having a passion for someone else.

Speaker 2:

I'd say it's like understanding the emotions of the other person. Yeah, that's deep, kind of like that, kind of like that, something like that. That's deep and I like it and I think we should go with that.

Speaker 1:

We should go with that Compassion. We're a deep podcast here and we go deep into everything and everyone.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, we're underwater welders, so we do things in the deep.

Speaker 1:

Yes, An aquarium everywhere we go. Yep. So we like to say it's all like we like to do Water wet.

Speaker 2:

Wet water. Are you wet when you come out of the water?

Speaker 1:

I don't know I'm inside the water.

Speaker 2:

I don't know yeah.

Speaker 1:

Question of the day Is water wet? There you go.

Speaker 2:

Ask yourself Yep, the universe has questions. Yep, unanswered Yep, we can't give you the answer because we're just in our main podcast, yep. Yeah so welcome guys.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm sorry for the we've been away for.

Speaker 2:

Been on a bit of a hiatus.

Speaker 1:

Hiatus. I went on like some spontaneous holidays.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, which is nice, which is good, it's very good, it's very refreshing, quite well deserved. I think you just need some time to yourself, man, just some time to reset, you know.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes in life people go hey, do you like to go to Japan?

Speaker 2:

And you have to say yes, you don't say no, you work out the kinks and the kinks work you out.

Speaker 1:

And you say well, look at that People have kinks, some people keep the kinks, some people unkink the kink. I unkinked the kink Yep, so I could go to.

Speaker 2:

Japan. I stare at it and it stares back at me, and that's how you know that the kink is unkinked.

Speaker 1:

You let the kink control you or you control the kink.

Speaker 2:

Yep, I'm always in control. What do you think?

Speaker 1:

What.

Speaker 2:

Did you blink? I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Put it down the sink if you get it, yes, so wake up to yourself.

Speaker 2:

Wake up you. Oh, just looked at, just looked at this. There's a picture of Goku holding the spirit bomb.

Speaker 1:

So why?

Speaker 2:

don't we? Why don't we just start this off with a rest in love? Rest in peace.

Speaker 1:

I don't want to go there straight away. Here we go.

Speaker 2:

I love you. Akira Toriyama, shout out to you, man, what a what a sad revelation it was.

Speaker 1:

It was quite, was it this week, last week, last week?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was like late last week, yeah, end of last week. I got a, yeah, got the message, man.

Speaker 1:

So weird.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's like it. You know it feels like when Kobe died. Yeah, 100% of weird healing.

Speaker 2:

For our community. It's kind of the same, definitely the same, I think, for our age group man.

Speaker 1:

Cause, like when we grew up, we watched. Well, that, like I don't know about you, but Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon were the first anime's I watched. That was what was on TV and that's all you could watch, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Those Dragon Ball Z, the tournament in other world, the underworld, when it was Goku and Picon, first things I ever remember watching Great, is that the?

Speaker 1:

movie or the series. The series the Genimba. No, that's the movie. Yeah, that's the movie.

Speaker 2:

There's episodes of Goku in the outward. Oh, that's right.

Speaker 1:

When they're trying to get back.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's right yeah.

Speaker 1:

So what do you do to start the pay homage to our man?

Speaker 2:

I was going to say what we can do go to the underworld and join the. Fighting Martial Arts tournament to come back to life. I mean what I like to, yes, yeah, that'd be fun.

Speaker 1:

But I thought we could go through maybe our top three most memorable moments from Dragon Ball Z slash Super Series.

Speaker 2:

Excellent. If you want, yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1:

Because it's a bit more nostalgic for me.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I only have one from Super, so it's fine.

Speaker 1:

Okay, you want to go first?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'll go first. Number one definitely would have to be Gohan breaking through for Super Saiyan 2.

Speaker 1:

Oh, come on, dude yeah.

Speaker 2:

Cell games Android 16 dies gets killed. Man's opens up rage moment. Here we go, Little young Gohan Super.

Speaker 1:

Saiyan 2.

Speaker 2:

First Wow.

Speaker 1:

God damn, I remember that scene. That has to be. That's my favorite character, super Saiyan, that particular moment. Yeah, his teenage, teenage, gohan. I just like the way you told that story was really cool. Like Gohan had to, he had no choice. He had to go to the next level and that's just.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that was a big thing for Gohan as well, in his character development as well, like they always wanted him to be a bit more softhearted than the rest of the Saiyans, and that really shone through in that moment. For me anyway, yeah, it's probably one of my most gone back to Dude 100%.

Speaker 1:

I just, I just still remember it, like just this face, just as a walk, just like the electricity, like yeah, that's the heart.

Speaker 2:

Like it was so good, which is also like. I feel like that, and the scene in the for what's his name? What's his name? It's the movie where he fights the there's a oh Bodoq.

Speaker 1:

I know exactly what scene when they try and Bojack.

Speaker 2:

Bojack, bojack, yeah, and he goes Super Saiyan 2 and walks through all the wires that have been killing people. So that's same kind of vibe and like they're definitely on like.

Speaker 1:

I don't want to mention that because that wasn't like Toriyama, right, that was just like away, yeah, yeah, but still, movies are off. God dude.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but that was the same kind of definitely same kind of vibe From the same vein.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, what's your second? Or?

Speaker 2:

do you want to go? Yeah, oh, we could go for one for one, go for one, go for one man it's so hard Cause I like, I like, I like the deep moments, yeah, in a weird way.

Speaker 1:

So one of my favorite moments is when Vegeta's in margin mode. Yeah, and he and he and he hugs Trunks and he hugs them and then he karate, chops, go 10 and Trunks and then he just sacrifices himself. That's, that's Vegeta dude.

Speaker 2:

And he leaves them to Piccolo.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, yeah, which is like what's he doing? He wasn't just being like, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know, like that moment for me, yeah, definitely that was excellent, like I love Vegeta.

Speaker 1:

And I've seen you probably took Mike, one of mine, but I'll put it in a second or something. Yeah, but we'll, we'll share it around, we'll see what we pick. Cause there's so much good stuff, but yeah, margin, vegeta sacrifice moment, yeah, so good, so fucking good, so good, dude.

Speaker 2:

Number two I don't know it's from super, but this moment was definitely one of my favorites. It's when Vegeta and Goku go back to the future of like Goku black. I think it's the second or the third time. And Vegeta's overpowering Goku black and he's like, what the hell Like, how is this happening? Or whatever.

Speaker 1:

And.

Speaker 2:

Vegeta. Just like you know, you're not fighting just anyone, you're fighting the principle.

Speaker 1:

Say it.

Speaker 2:

Vegeta Samma. And then he does like his full power up and the whole building just explodes around him. Just the way he says Vegeta Samma is just like yeah, this dude the goat of the show, he's the fucking man.

Speaker 1:

Vegeta's, he carries man.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

He carries that shit there's so many times, so many times.

Speaker 2:

Especially in super like yeah, even in the tournament of power, when Goku's like on his last bit and like that all given him his power. Vegeta gave him the last of his power and he's got that whole speech about leaving it to Goku, yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's come on. Yeah, like that dude man, he has the best speeches.

Speaker 2:

Yeah he does, because he wasn't.

Speaker 1:

Was he like? Was he Toriyama's favorite character?

Speaker 2:

Not favorite. He hates, he hates Vegeta yeah.

Speaker 1:

Dude, he gave Vegeta like the best dialogue?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the best moments bro.

Speaker 1:

Like Goku's were cool, but I just feel like Vegeta always got like the really like cut you deep, yeah, and you're like yeah.

Speaker 2:

Vegeta's intelligent and calculated yes, with Goku's goofy and he relies on his warrior prowess.

Speaker 1:

Yes, like purely warrior instinct. And then we go to those serious modes and that's when you're like, oh shit, yeah, goku's ready to fuck shit up, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Vegeta just thinks everything through. Hmm, oh, also the speech that he does with Gohan when they're like about to fight. I think it's like Margin, kid, kid, kid, boo, or something.

Speaker 1:

Dude, I think I listen to a song like there's like a workout beat. Yeah, it's like an EDM song and it's got that speech, yeah, at the start of a dude and it's just like fuck me, he's like you play around too much. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, dude, it's fucking good and that's an English.

Speaker 2:

That's an English. You play around too much, gohan. Yeah, you could have been the greatest of all of us. All of us greatest of all Sians yeah. Fuck, I love that that's a good, that's a really good speech. Yeah, oh, man's the king of speeches. Just have to give him that.

Speaker 1:

He's the king of speeches. He's a diplomat. Yep, he's a diplomat. He's a diplomat Just like you. Very diplomatic. Vote for me. Vote for Bailey For me. I'll vote for you. Bailey Dring can fix your string, yep.

Speaker 2:

Sure, can, can't tune it, but I can fix it. Hello, vote for Bailey.

Speaker 1:

Subscribe hey, subscribe. Subscribbles, hey, if you're listening, hey, hey, follow. If you're blind, love you Follow. I don't know if you can Siri that or something.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you can Siri it, hey. If you're blind, hey Siri.

Speaker 1:

If you're blind and a fan, please send through a message of how you subscribe to stuff. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

That'd be interesting. Thank you, yeah, I'd definitely like to read that.

Speaker 1:

That's when the vision probably be kind of useless.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it would be. It'd be useless yeah.

Speaker 1:

The fuck, the fuck Apple.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, what is that?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, what is that? What is that you hate? You must hate blind people.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you're joking.

Speaker 1:

It's just jokes, guys. What are they?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're jokes.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, number two, number two, number two. I'm trying to go through it. My number two would be go on Like Super Saiyan 2. Yeah, but I'll try and think of something different so we can try and get a gauge on the whole.

Speaker 2:

Res it up a little. Siri Res it up a little.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, fuck, dude, I'll go for the OG Piccolo Goku, sacrificing himself. Raditz, special Beam Cannon. Special Beam Cannon Takes the first kill of the series, the first death of the Dragon Bozzy series before there was any rebirth.

Speaker 2:

That was the first big death, pretty much of a character and it was death In any anime.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's what we need to think about. That was the first time it was done.

Speaker 2:

Major moves.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, that's a great scene, man, that's a great season, og, old and still, fucking still good man, I still remember that moment, that whole series, like that whole 15 episodes.

Speaker 2:

That whole 20 episodes, yeah, that whole fucking half a year.

Speaker 1:

Dude Goku was about to fucking get hemorrhoids. Straight up, he was holding onto Raditz for a long time, very long time.

Speaker 2:

Come on, piccolo. Yeah, dude, he was doing.

Speaker 1:

Jujitsu back when it wasn't big man. So Goku pioneer Toriyama, pioneer in Jujitsu as well, Look at that.

Speaker 2:

From the get go. What a legend. Thanks, mate.

Speaker 1:

There's my second. Thanks, Toriyama. Now I'm going to think of my third one before Bailey gets to me, but also listening to him it's very hard.

Speaker 2:

Go. Oh shit, I don't know. Third is kind of hard for me. There's so many immaculate moments from the show, but I'm probably going to have to give it to, probably the spirit bomb against Kid Boo.

Speaker 1:

Oh, come on, dude yeah.

Speaker 2:

You know like and I feel like People are worth.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, anyone that watched. It was like drilled to it like trying to get Goku their power for like four episodes of just like that brings back memories.

Speaker 2:

Believe in you Goku. You know what I mean and everyone was kind of just because that was like the toughest fight Any of the Z fighters that come across.

Speaker 1:

I still do it, bro. Leading up, if I'm going for a boxer, I'm like bro yeah take all my energy, man, take it all dude, it's all you suck it up, man, suck it up like Kirby.

Speaker 2:

Please save the Earth, god everyone knows spirit bomb.

Speaker 1:

I think that might be the first one, though.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think that's one against Freezer.

Speaker 1:

That is definitely against Freezer. Yeah, that doesn't even work. Does it work? What the spirit bomb I'm trying to think of you like? So I think he still survives it, right.

Speaker 2:

And then I don't know if he does do one against Freezer.

Speaker 1:

I can't remember when he did it.

Speaker 2:

That might be the one against Kid Boo. It probably is. Actually. I feel like that was like the big, big, big moment yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we don't. You guys don't know what it looks like. We'll probably. I'll put it on the set, hopefully next week I'll figure it out.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we'll put on the set now.

Speaker 1:

We need to get him up Pay homage, pay homage Maybe we'll get a picture of Toriyama as well we can put on it, which will be sick, yeah, yeah, all right, my third. Fuck, this is hard dude, yeah, dude, yeah man, yeah yeah, it's funny, like a lot of my favorite things are from, like, the movies.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I get like that I love fucking like Like go Jito. Yeah like yeah, yeah, it's fucking so good. It's fucking yeah that I'm gonna go for a boss.

Speaker 1:

Like like my second favorite character, I'm gonna go super trunks. When you go super trunks.

Speaker 2:

Oh, fuck yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and he beats, that's when he fights Vegeta, right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that part Fucking. I used to love drawing trunks, trunks. Yeah, especially dude, he's so big.

Speaker 2:

Super trunks in the Bojack movie oh.

Speaker 1:

Like just the long hair.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the long hair with like the vest, yeah, like the denim vest that's ripped at the shoulder. So yeah, by says just look, that was the shit right there.

Speaker 1:

I need more grade a yeah, character Design yeah, what a mad scene.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, like that's high up at the back.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, oh, man with the sword.

Speaker 2:

This is like man's was like ahead of his time in fashion that it was a king, I might need to rewatch DB's EA.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, definitely not like I don't have anything else to watch, but I'm gonna try and find time. Yeah, they must do best moments. I might just look up.

Speaker 2:

Best moments is yeah there's a lot of like. I've watched a lot of that too, and, like you know, another moment is like when Krillin, when Goku's like recruiting for the tournament of power and like everyone has their power up yeah they have in their fights and shit like fuck. Krillin showing off how good, how like strong he's become, like great a yeah, cuz you kind of always count him out.

Speaker 1:

You always count him out like it's sound like Yamcha.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, I'm really held his own and get super Sam blue Goku. That's crazy. It's crazy. A human, yeah, human, yep, that's fucking nuts Do it Good shit.

Speaker 1:

I Guess you could pick the modern movies too, because he worked on those right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Super Piccolo dude, come on. Yeah super piccolo is fucking dope. Yeah, fuck yeah.

Speaker 2:

Orange dude it's so fucking super yeah super gohan could have been better. Let's be honest, they just called that up in the manga. Oh, did they? So they just passed that whole fight and oh.

Speaker 1:

So they're catching up to it.

Speaker 2:

Oh, they added it in Six six of like this arc has been the superhero arc Yep, and they just beat cell, did whatever and like the aftermath Got you, got you, yeah, fuck yeah, dude yeah it's pretty good, I'll tell you after. Tell me yet to don't let the fans Don't spoil it for you.

Speaker 1:

Spoiler. So yeah, this yeah, respect, respect rest in peace and peace.

Speaker 2:

I love you, love you. Thank you for our childhood.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, thank you, wherever you are. Also, none of these enemies behind us would be possible, will be possible, without him, just like Michael Jordan. Ain't that right? Ain't that the truth? There would be no massive NBA superstars like yeah well he started.

Speaker 2:

You know like he's necessary.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was necessary so. Trailblazers, we call them trail Superstars, man yeah cuz they only come across every once in a while. Yeah, you know so yeah. Put your comments. Put your comments down in the description. Yeah of your favorite DBZ moments that you, um, you see or remember from when you were a kid, or maybe you just rewatched it recently. Maybe too young and you're watching it now like go back and watch some DBZ. They've even got remade like Dragon Ball Z Kai.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's all reanimated. My nieces and nephews just finished Dragon Ball Z. They're on super now. So there you go, shout out to you guys, and they're young part of the new generation born in the 2000 and something so. Good stuff man, we're old now. Yeah, we're old now.

Speaker 1:

We're not old man.

Speaker 2:

Look, no, no, I felt that at the baby show I felt super old because like I'm like I'm one of the young ones at work In like my partner's family, but they're like with my cousins and that I'm the oldest, yeah, so it was kind of like no, you feel it, you know, you feel it, you feel it.

Speaker 1:

I'm like, I always remind myself like it's still young, though.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we're still young. We're still young. Dude Under 40, we're under 40. Yeah, yes, when you hit 40, like oh yeah, like, oh, here it is, I'm old enough, the mitties. Yeah Well, yeah, shout out to you Tylan Um. Congratulations my bro, congratulations, brother, blessings to you and your new family, because he's a listener, guys, he's a listener.

Speaker 1:

Put your comments in the bottom. Yeah, actually, congratulations, tylan. He's having a baby, he's having a little girl, so good work bro.

Speaker 2:

Join the party. Love you bro. Um, yeah, yeah, he actually complained that because he was like, I listened to your podcast when I'm at working stuff and I was like, oh fuck, we haven't done a episode in a while. And he's like I know, man.

Speaker 1:

Oh sorry, I've been re -listening to the old stuff. I was like, ah, it's completely my bad bro, I'm gonna take that one.

Speaker 2:

No man, we we definitely needed a. It's as a hiatus. It's a hiatus, but it's good because you know you never know what's coming around the corner. Yeah, could be me, could be Bailey, could be Senpai, could be Sango, who knows? Could be a man with a water balloon straight to your face.

Speaker 1:

That's the most beautiful thing about our podcast. Yeah, could be a woman with a rake. Yeah, you never know which direction we're gonna go. Yeah, never know, always end up in the gutter. It's always in a bit of a.

Speaker 2:

You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

Um, very veiny. So if you're blind, you probably have no idea what we're talking about. Or if you just saw this podcast, you're like veiny why? I don't even know what I talk about sometimes. Veiny Um, we got something. What well. We got solar leveling. Should we talk about it yet, or should we just now?

Speaker 2:

we'll leave it. We'll leave it hey well, we could talk about the um 7.5, the 7.4.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, Fuck was yeah. So um the lead.

Speaker 2:

Like I know, a lot of people were angry about it. Whoever's been watching it week to week, like I, was pissed off dude, joseph was so pissed I didn't even watch it. Super like superstars pissed off yeah it's like solar leveling is gone Out the gate. Yeah, um. So 7.5 happened because the the voice actor for Jinwoo, who's the main character, got covid. His throat was all fucked up.

Speaker 1:

Why didn't they just say that? Yeah why are they to put up a random fluffer episode?

Speaker 2:

I don't know. So I think that's yeah. So that was kind of just like unplanned and just chucked it in, Did a little recap. It's like you don't need to recap seven episodes. You know what I mean. I need to recap that.

Speaker 1:

Do I go to a burger place and need like a fucking shitty burger to remind me how good the burgers tasted?

Speaker 2:

No, I'll just wait. That's a really good analogy. Yeah, I'll just wait. That's a really good analogy.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, if you tell me I'll fucking wait, I don't care, yeah, if you say, bro, it's gonna be another 20 minutes for that burger that you love.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I'll wait, bro. I'll wait for something that will actually help me, because I don't want to have to bun, I want the whole thing.

Speaker 2:

I don't think this isn't a Deconstructed burger. You know, I don't want that I want a full construction.

Speaker 1:

I want that full. I want that. I want that juicy plums On the plums.

Speaker 2:

I want to take them to the plums market. Let the boy watch.

Speaker 1:

Let the boy watch so he can learn Right. That's how I learned from my father.

Speaker 2:

And his father learned from his father.

Speaker 1:

What's making sweet, sweet love to my wife, my wife Donna, my wife Donna On top of a sweat.

Speaker 2:

Sweat like a pig.

Speaker 1:

Great show, rustin Rustin. What's the show again? Eastbound and down. Eastbound and down.

Speaker 2:

We always talk about it Craig Robinson, danny McBride.

Speaker 1:

Will.

Speaker 2:

Ferrell Bloopers Watch that shit real good.

Speaker 1:

Dude. We in Japan, mijo's referenced that.

Speaker 2:

I love just that so many times. Just those bloopers, just the plums, yeah the plums. I feel like they're my plums. Just saw some plummetaries we just bring the plums down to school, People say oh, there's some good plums. Oh nice blueish hue.

Speaker 1:

Blueish hue, nice blueish hue to them.

Speaker 2:

Oh man, what a great show. I feel like the juice running down my chin. I'll see. I'll see. It's good stuff. I was watching Bloopers the other day. That's the same as the office. Yeah, I was watching the office but I was watching Anchorman too, oh awesome. He's like, feel that. Tell me that doesn't feel like a cock.

Speaker 1:

Tell me that doesn't feel like a cock. That feels like a leg.

Speaker 2:

I was pleasuring myself to the image of Mrs Buttersworth and she got me there like the Express, a train, I know, I know. No, that's like for those poor, poor people of Pompeii. Except for Kinnocash, I was covered in warm and jaculate. Talk about a river of ejaculate.

Speaker 1:

Dude, so good.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 2:

I'm just being real.

Speaker 1:

I listen to other podcasts.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but.

Speaker 1:

I can't listen to us. Actually I can't do it.

Speaker 2:

I listen to us. I can't do it anymore. Watch us.

Speaker 1:

I'm too critiquing of us. I'm like what are you guys?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I get like that. I'm like why don't you?

Speaker 1:

just like say a few more words.

Speaker 2:

I'm getting sick of staring at you sitting there nodding Like fucking, say something, no.

Speaker 1:

Dude, sometimes I'll like I'll look back on our videos, man, and I'm just like we'll talk about a subject and we'll be like so, man, like what did you think about? Like one piece, and we're both like, yeah, it was good.

Speaker 2:

And right there, oh, I feel bad. What's what's, what's, what's what's what? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Oh no, no, it's a good, I feel bad. Number one is red.

Speaker 1:

These guys were like listen, I'll ask you like yeah.

Speaker 2:

Everyone like a little bit of dissection. Give us something.

Speaker 1:

Give us something I could come here for something new and we're like oh, it was right.

Speaker 2:

It was right, yeah, I enjoyed it.

Speaker 1:

So I'm trying to be better. It's pretty good, yeah. Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm trying to try to put some more describing.

Speaker 2:

I want to get a little bit, it's good, Just it's like it's good, but it's like it's, you know, it's good.

Speaker 1:

Is it good or is it good? Is it good, is it great? I don't know we could put a bit more pizzazz on the word. I don't know if we want to save for next episode. What's that live action avatar? I don't know if we want to get into it now. Have you finished it? I finished it, bro.

Speaker 2:

I didn't. Okay. Well, let's just talk about it. We can. Yeah, let's talk about 10.

Speaker 1:

We'll do 10 minutes on the clock.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'll be fine, yeah.

Speaker 1:

All right, let's start avatar live action. Yeah, so you haven't finished it yet. Just so we can clarify that I've finished the episode. Yeah, we didn't. I'm on the probably the same page as you. I gave this show. By the way, I didn't hate this show. No, I don't hate it I don't, I don't, I'm not one of these fans is like oh it was fucking shit.

Speaker 2:

No, yeah, no, I'm like that too.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's like the movie that we know the Shyamalan movie was. That was dog shit.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

This movie. The costumes great. I thought the costumes great. I thought the CGI was awesome. Cgi was good.

Speaker 2:

I thought the bending was awesome.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I thought some of the actors played like pretty well. Some, Some yeah, but I don't know if that's their fault. Man, that's where I'm going to get to. What do you mean? I don't think it was like the actors fault per se.

Speaker 2:

I just don't like Aang.

Speaker 1:

But he's a kid man, so, like to me, you need like a good, like I think was the way, I think was the way he was written. Yeah, because he, like you got to put it this way, right, if you're a kid, right, you got that like jovial fun, like you're going to goof around. So, when you're trying to like like. To me, aang has always been like his story arc. Is him like lacking, like running away from responsibility?

Speaker 2:

Yeah. And he's got that fun juvenile kind of like yeah, I just think it's his voice for me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but like I've heard him. I've heard him when he's happy and it's different. Yeah, he's got a different voice and it's interesting stuff and in the because I want to hear him in the interviews. Man, I was like that's Aang. Yeah, I like, I prefer the end of his yeah yeah, he was like really happy yeah, but I'd say, yeah, I don't like the actor in general to be honest.

Speaker 2:

I've watched a few interviews.

Speaker 1:

I just feel like, yeah, I don't, yeah, I try not to be harsh on him because he's like young, he's a child, yeah. But I don't try, I try not to be when they're so young, because I'm like we know what it's like being young.

Speaker 2:

I don't try.

Speaker 1:

I try not to do that to kids. I blame it on the people that are adults around him that have been in the industry and getting paid lots and lots of money to tell stories.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm just really bad with child actors. Hey, yeah, you are, but everyone's.

Speaker 1:

I'm like that too, man, but I've like over the years, I'm like you know what, I'm not going to put it on them they didn't get, they didn't get picked, they didn't pick themselves. No someone picked them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but yeah, we stopped watching it because of him.

Speaker 1:

Oh, just because of him in general. Okay, that's fair enough.

Speaker 2:

Watch the anime instead of which we finished again. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I was watching the anime too. It's good to shoot While I was watching it. Fuck, cryed a few times, dude, I've heard some people, the community, what do you call it? Atla? Yeah, the atla community and it's like it's very split down the middle, like some people are like they. Well, there's like three, there's like people that fucking hated it. Live action.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

There's people that thought it was like God's honey, and then there's people that Not sure.

Speaker 2:

Not sure, kind of in the middle Bit of a bit, it's both good and bad. I'm there, I'm there.

Speaker 1:

Like I rated it at like a seven I just because oh yeah, yeah, I gave it like a six yeah. That's fair enough. Six or seven. I gave it a seven just because I thought the bending like the. At least it was like the intro.

Speaker 2:

It was eye appealing. How good was the intro. It was great, yeah, like the first five minutes.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was great the ending, and I was in.

Speaker 2:

Five minutes. I was like damn.

Speaker 1:

Damn, I'm going to try not to nitpick on like certain like shit, like the the ang floating thing, because I'm like well, he kind of does do it sometimes in the show.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And he's kind of like going up, like just a little bit. So I'm like, okay, he's not Technically, he's not flying around.

Speaker 2:

No, it's just, he's just coming down. Yeah, yeah, like yeah.

Speaker 1:

So if someone's just like blowing shit down, anyway, um.

Speaker 2:

What's your favorite character? I don't really have.

Speaker 1:

Oh Suki.

Speaker 2:

Suki Wow.

Speaker 1:

Did you get to the Suki episode?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, bro, she was like.

Speaker 2:

I like Zuko.

Speaker 1:

I um, I think Zuko's good too, he's my I just um. I like him. He was great. He's Indonesian too. So much love to the actor.

Speaker 2:

He's really handsome.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, especially when he's got his normal hair.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's got that wolf cut. You're handsome bro.

Speaker 1:

Handsome brother man. Just remember, guys, we're just telling the truth, telling how we feel. If any of these actors want to come on and talk, hit us up. We're not going to hate you.

Speaker 2:

We just want to talk about the show.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, my main problem was that I felt like the show because you didn't finish it, man, so it's hard to tell you the parts I'm critiquing.

Speaker 2:

What did I get up to?

Speaker 1:

Did you get up to Secret Tunnels? Yeah, Okay, that was my main gripe with the show. Why the fuck is Secret Tunnels in there? It's in season two and they didn't even do it right. The whole meaning of Secret Tunnels was just like they just did it for, like the Secret Tunnel, which is cool, but that's just their like for comedic effect on the episode because it's a deep episode. So, and I get they're not going to be able to squeeze everything into eight episodes, but maybe you don't set the fucking thing to eight episodes then.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I just yeah. I dislike the mishmash that they did with certain storylines 100%. Like the Ango knew the spirit world, what? Like you know?

Speaker 1:

What was the point of the forest spirit? In that episode there isn't one, did they even solve it? No, he's in it, he's in it.

Speaker 2:

He's in it, but like there's no point.

Speaker 1:

There's no point to the forest spirit. He goes and does like the face one and he's not even in the anime that much the face one and I'm like. I was like, why is this a big plot point?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and then there's other spirits that pop up that you're like like the owl. The owl is from season two.

Speaker 1:

Dude. This is what I mean. Why are they fucking? They're taking stuff that doesn't need to be there. So some people like, oh, they only got eight episodes. I'm like, yeah, so why are you putting stuff from a different?

Speaker 2:

season From season two in there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because you can put stuff from season one that's important to the plot of the characters growth in the future seasons.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, 100%. So why are?

Speaker 1:

we like trying to like Put it all together. Yeah, and I'm like thinking maybe they're just trying to rush it like cause I don't know if they're gonna get renewed.

Speaker 2:

But then they add in stuff that's like not even in the show.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, which I get. They're gonna do that anyway. Which.

Speaker 2:

I enjoyed that stuff Like I enjoyed the added on stuff like the nomads seeing the air nomads.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, that was sick. That was very cool. And then seeing the Earthbender running around at the start was sick. Yeah, that was pretty cool to see.

Speaker 2:

And Uncle Iro at his son's funeral on Zuko coming in and sitting there, that was great. That was great yeah.

Speaker 1:

They need to give him more the Uncle Iro character the actor, cause he's a good actor man. Yeah, you gotta give him some juice. He's not you know, Uncle Iro doesn't come out. Like in season. You see Uncle Iro really like a bit more in the show in the end.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, like, you see, like a different side to him, yeah, the loving, yeah, yeah, yeah, just some of those parts were just like why Just the same? I was just like not necessary, like why?

Speaker 1:

Like? Sometimes I'm like, okay, get. Why? Like? When I was watching the One Piece live action, they put stuff down Like, okay, I get it, cause it's not that like, if you, it's not that important to the story, kind of thing.

Speaker 2:

Oh, like how I told, like I'm, you know, grandson Garp and stuff, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's like, okay, I get what they're doing, cause the general audience will give them a little extra, like oh cool, like wow, yeah, yeah. I get that stuff Um this was unnecessary.

Speaker 1:

I just yeah, just some of the stuff, the choices, like why isn't, why didn't Aang? Like in the scene they did the scene like take for take, of Katsara learning the water scroll and they're not going to do the boat, the pirate episode, but like why not have Aang? Like that's the whole part is like Aang goes like oh, can I try? And she's like yeah, you should try it. And then he just does it naturally and starts waterbending yeah.

Speaker 1:

And then she gets pissed and that's like enough, that's like a character, that's that's more for the actress to like use.

Speaker 2:

They changed her from like a bit of a badass hot head to just kind of like oh anything.

Speaker 1:

But they said they were going to change her from being a mother figure and I was like you turned her more into a mother yeah, she was more. Yeah, um cause she has like dude, they're young dude, they have ish Like they have, like they're going to have to deal with like jealousy, and that's the whole thing is Kataari. The episode is learning to not be jealous and just focus on her yeah, Herself and not focus on other people.

Speaker 2:

Has to be that character. You know, yeah, and like they kind of tried to put it on soccer a little bit, yeah, and they were like the response, which makes sense because he's the oldest, but but, like in the anime, katara is that person.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so it's still quite irresponsible.

Speaker 1:

But I mean, I feel like they gave. They took that and gave it soccer, but they didn't give Katara anything, so she was just there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And then she could water bend.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Which was, which was cool. You know, but like I don't know man, I just felt like this moment. I don't blame the actors because, like they only have limited, they only have whatever the writer puts down on what they, their character is. And they're not going to complain.

Speaker 2:

These new actors, they're going to do the fuck yeah, they got another point that I was quite disappointed in.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm actually wasn't like the guy that played Bumi. The voice was great.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but what they did with him angry, I don't know. I don't know, like Bumi was never angry with a.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 2:

And like they really made it that he hated a for leaving him and not doing his duties as the avatar. It's like that's really not. That's not really fucked Bumi up there because he was like you know he's carefree. Yeah, he doesn't he doesn't care, he's just doing his thing, but he's also like a plan to see his friend.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and he was a plan ahead the whole time. Yeah, you make it seem like he was just actually angry and trying to behind.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

It was just, it was very. That was the fun part about Bumi, because he thought he was dumb and weird and old. And then you find out. Oh, this guy's pretty smart.

Speaker 2:

Like he's kind of like a chest player and he's hilarious. They added the mechanist into that. The mechanist storyline into that and they added jet storyline into that.

Speaker 1:

I like jets. I like jets.

Speaker 2:

That was fine it added in, but it was like what? Like they mashed all three together.

Speaker 1:

It was the mechanics from season one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but they found him at the Northern air. Yeah, that's right, yeah, that's right, he and he had, like, they cut that out, and that's where Aang has that kind of growth, where, like, like, the future is here. You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's not a hundred years ago.

Speaker 2:

Where tradition runs the future world.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, innovation is like coming.

Speaker 2:

It's here you know and like that's something that Aang had to get over and grow from which he didn't really grow from.

Speaker 1:

No, that's what I mean, dude. Like it seems like every time man. I don't want to put it on the dude, but like every scene was him going, I should have been here.

Speaker 2:

Like I'm like dude, okay, Like, yeah, we get it.

Speaker 1:

Do it one time or like whatever, but like Aang is like supposed to be like he didn't really shoulder it that much. No, it just he was saying it, but like it wasn't, like it don't think needed to be said.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Like with the dialogue, that was that's what I mean. Like the dialogue just felt a bit like just basic guys. That's all I'm trying to say.

Speaker 2:

I just felt like I get you.

Speaker 1:

Advertise is such a deep like, there's so much deep content in it, like, and they, it's like, they went very surface level with the, the storytelling in it. That's all I'm trying to, that's all I'm trying to say, and it goes. It goes subject to subject. But I, the people, are saying like you're not a true fan If you don't support the live action. That's not what, that's bullshit, that's not like, that's not how it works, dude.

Speaker 2:

They're both different. I get that. Yeah, I keep trying to look at it subjectively as its own thing, but like yeah, I can't help.

Speaker 1:

And do I hope that season two is better.

Speaker 2:

Hell yeah, I do.

Speaker 1:

Got renewed for season two and three.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So let's just hope that the hopefully creators and writers and actors are listening and they take it on board, man. That's, that's why people like us talk, so that hopefully they hear it and they go. Okay, you know what Like I get where they. They might even agree with us. Now they they didn't sometimes create is put stuff out because that's just what they had to do.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. And then they look back and they go oh, that didn't hit yeah.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes it doesn't fly. I understand why the creators left. I understand. I get it Now I understand. Yeah, I was like why are they going? Like it looks good.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, looks like everything they had. Everything is just the storyline just branched off a bit too much, which was like definitely not the kind of the direction that the creators wanted it to go in, which is fair, and I I respect them for it 100%.

Speaker 1:

And I wanted to like it so much. I tried, I tried so hard.

Speaker 2:

I went in with such high like I think that's the problem, Like I didn't have high expectations for one piece no because of one piece, I had high expectations for.

Speaker 1:

Avatar.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I didn't hit the expectations the way I wanted it to.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, just like yeah just I wanted to feel it a bit more. Yeah, that's what avatar made me feel like like I don't watch one Piece and I don't cry all the time. Yeah, avatar always had those little like, surprisingly like.

Speaker 2:

Just come out? No way, yeah, just come out no way.

Speaker 1:

You'd be like having fun and then it'd be like like something sad and you'd be like oh fuck, You're on a deep thought. You're like fuck man.

Speaker 2:

It's so true, hundred percent, and like some of the casting, I didn't like which.

Speaker 1:

I don't know, man. Yeah, I try not to be like I don't know. Yeah, I try not to be too much.

Speaker 2:

I know it's like yeah, you know there's a couple of characters that it's just like. You. Just honestly look like a regular person.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, cosplaying as this character at an expo yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

Like this isn't a comic-con or supernova like you look like you're wearing a week.

Speaker 1:

It's different, right? It's not like everyone. Like suko fits, do play suko, he owned it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, fits.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, I would say like soccer, I think he did like a great job. He looks like, he looks like him, and he sounds like him, and I think he got like the mix between the tacky comedy and Like they got rid of like the especially a kiyoshi island dude.

Speaker 2:

I really shone dude when I saw him with.

Speaker 1:

That's with it when him and suki word together. I enjoyed it. I thought I was like oh okay, I'm enjoying this episode. Yeah and that episode sick how Avatar kiyoshi Like I know that's not in the anime, that's one of these parts.

Speaker 2:

I was like well, that's another thing, like, yeah, something else that's from season 2. Yeah, that's when he goes that other island. Yeah, she doesn't even do that. That's what I mean, do they I?

Speaker 1:

was confused man. I was like and they skipped like Roku's, like Scene and the witches, like one of my fucking favorites when he comes out and just fucks up everyone. They skipped that they didn't do it, bro. That's fucking he just talks to um, she talks to hang, he's talks to hang in the spirit world. That's ridiculous. And then I Can't remember how he gets out, man, I Don't know. I think it's captured, and then that's why they do the blue spirit thing after. I think it's something like that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, cuz that's where I finished was that spirit world episode and like he ends the episode with I'm gonna save my friends, yeah, and he leaves the spirit world and leaves their bodies there. You know what I mean? And he just fucks off.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he goes to Roku. Yeah, dude.

Speaker 2:

That's why I finished like stop watching. So say what the fuck.

Speaker 1:

Dude, that's what I mean I learned that he doesn't water bend. Dude, I that's what I mean Like why do you have the perfect? You have the scene. You have, like you've filmed, the exact scene. All you have to do is just have a one moment go oh, how do you do it?

Speaker 2:

and then just like Dude, what I had is so much avatar and not let him water bend Like I get the whole spirit in the avatar state but that's like he knows how the water bend before that. Yes and he uses it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, multiple times yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. So I don't know. There's a look, there's like there's minor things that I'm pissed off at you know, as everyone, but all in all, like there's a lot of things that I did enjoy of it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, like, yeah, like it's not, like it's not dog shit. It was like it was good mid.

Speaker 2:

I was good, I'd give it mid for me. Yeah, it's fair enough.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's fair enough, it's mid like I don't even think I'd watch Sukey's episode again. Yeah, that's because good, kiyoshi, it's a pretty cool scene. It's a mad scene with kiyoshi kiyoshi using the fans and she like she fucked it up. It's pretty cool all the fucking. Yeah, you know you guys like they put like the water avatar in it a lot and I don't think he's in it at all. Could hook yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's in it a couple of times, but aang really only meets him. He doesn't meet him until he goes on to the lion turtle.

Speaker 1:

Which is ages away. That's fucking ages away, so 20.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's on. Then he's like talking to his past lives about what?

Speaker 1:

cuz he was like, and they kind of do that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so he doesn't meet. Could have till then he doesn't even meet yang Chen until then, yeah, yeah, it's only ever been kiyoshi and Roku.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Bit fucked.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, weird man, I don't like. I once again. Why are you putting in stuff that doesn't need, that's from like future couple of these, like, even if like, even if, like, like. Because if you're trying to put that in to be like, oh, this is like Like, just in case you don't get a season two, like what's the point. Yeah, just tell season one, just people like season one for season one, they're gonna come back season two.

Speaker 2:

It's the same as yeah, one piece, they told East blue.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you like it.

Speaker 2:

come back yeah and they cut it down. It's fucking people like it yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, um, I was finished there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we're just, we're going. Yeah, we're getting annoyed, pissed off and shit like.

Speaker 1:

And I don't hate being I'm not being a hater. Once again, good seven mid.

Speaker 2:

That's what you get, man.

Speaker 1:

It's not an eight, it's not, it's definitely. If you think it's like a nine, like I don't know what you're seeing, to C grade. It's like it felt like watching honestly felt like watching a Marvel movie. You know, like a mark, like you know what I mean, like a modern Marvel movie. Like you go to the cinema and you watch it. You're like that I don't know what the fuck I got out of that. Yeah, like I didn't get.

Speaker 2:

I got the fucking Credit scene. That's what I got. Yeah, yeah, and then the credit scene, shit, yeah, but like, but, like that's literally vibe like I go watch like a movie.

Speaker 1:

I'm like that was like shit, like not shit, but like Like it was just. It was just a show.

Speaker 2:

Yeah it was just, it wasn't like Cool man, it's not groundbreaking, it's not like world fucking Internet crashing you know, and they could have been that's the best of that can be. It's got so much potential so much potential man, so much potential by yeah but oh well it is what it is. It is what it is, rod, and bro Marta's, I give it a 62% out of 100.

Speaker 1:

It's pretty good. It's above average above average.

Speaker 2:

It's a C, maybe C plus. Yeah, that's all I give it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah same, I'd give it like a, c, c plus.

Speaker 2:

That's it.

Speaker 1:

Can it get better? Of course you can get better. Yeah they just need to. Hopefully, now they've been renewed, they have a bit more like okay, we've got the season three, now we can build Towards the ending. Yeah, cuz that's what you're trying to do. Yeah, why are we putting shit in? That's not that you're not paying it off. You just you're paying it off. Wait, like there's no point of paying it off if I Haven't like been on the journey with the character.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I swear to god, man Like what's the point, dude? Like. My favorite episode is in season three, when Zuko takes soccer to the prison.

Speaker 1:

Oh, dude, cut that shit out, man. We're suki, we're yeah, when they come on, dude.
